YALI I-Report, a flagship television program of YALI Television is fast becoming a must watch for Young African leaders and innovations across the continent and beyond.

This week’s episode promises to be exciting with birthdays dedications, reports from correspondents across on the International Youth Day 2020, country Covid-19 updates and other youth led interventions. This episode will also commemorate the ten years’ anniversary.

In line with #YALI10 agenda, the anchor of the show, Stephen Selasie Asuo will be talking with David Kamau on this weekend’s edition on Saturday 15th August 2020 at 16:00HRS GMT.

David Kamau is the YALI Coordinator working in the Regional Program Office in the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) West Africa Regional Mission. Based in Accra, David coordinates the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) in the West Africa region.

Over the past 18 years, David has been involved in social transformation and human capital development on multiple fronts. He has had the privilege of serving as an entrepreneur, leadership developer, consultant, facilitator, entrepreneurship coach, program developer, mentor, project manager and leader.

Previously, David worked with Deloitte East Africa where he was a member of the founding team that established the YALI Regional Leadership Center, East Africa. Initially in the role of Learning/Curriculum Director, he was responsible for designing the robust, experiential, and innovative leadership development experience for the participants from 14 East and Central African countries. He later served as Director of the Center where he also coordinated and led efforts towards the establishment and launch of YALI Africa – a coming together of the four YALI Regional Leadership Centers across the continent.
David is passionate about youth development and is committed to seeing Africa transformed. He consistently seeks to actively influence a new era of leaders that will radically transform Africa, for good.

David and his wife, Immaculate, have three wonderful children.
