The newly crowned beauty queen of the Republic of Ghana has been honoured by the officials of her alma matta with an attractive scholarship with the BlueCrest College Ghana on Friday 11th September 2020 at their campus in Kokomlemle, Accra.
The BlueCrest College Ghana organized a commemorative event to honour the newly crowned Miss Ghana, Miss Monique Mawulawe Agbedekpui, who is an alumna of the University College. The event was organized to celebrate their perseverance and stellar performance she put up to win the coveted crown which started in February 2020.
In attendance at the event was the rector and president of the institution, Dr,. Anand Agrawal, the Registrar of the institution, Mrs Edna Asante, the Marketing Manager, Miss Onyekachi Ekeh, the Assitant Registrar Admissions, Richard Nartey, the CPED Director, Mr. Todd Holcombe, the Student Representative Council, a cross-section of invited students from the Fashion School, the media and other invited guests.
The Public Relations Officer of the Students Representative Council of the institution read the attainment profile of Miss Ghana 2020 to introduce her as the guest of honor for the occasion. In his remarks, he eulogized her journey as a student, her sacrifices as a model, a designer and a helper of many. He also enumerated some of the key attainment she chalked in the Fashion School during her tenure as a student.
In his keynote address during the event, the President and Rector of the BlueCrest College Ghana spoke about how Miss Monique Mawulawe Agbedekpui represents the values of the institution which are leadership, education, innovations and technology. He congratulated her for the tremendous achievement, being as a true ambassador of the institution, and stated that the management was really pleased with her. On behalf of the management of BlueCrest College College Ghana, he presented a scholarship worth over GHS17,500 to support Miss Ghana 2020 advance her education.
Miss Ghana, in her acceptance speech, she stated that she is really honored by the gesture and really excited to have been an alumna of BlueCrest College Ghana. She used the platform to inspire other young people on being focused and believing in their dreams. She also charged the youth to build their capacity in developing their skills to in line with the vision.
The program came to a close with exchange of pleasantries and photograph sessions with the beauty queen.
